about

With a deep commitment to storytelling, Amy Zavatto has spent a lifetime digging deep into the rich and ripe bounty that is borne of the worlds of wine, spirits, and food, where the tales told are as much about the process as they are about the person behind it.

A butcher's daughter, Amy grew up with a profound respect for the work of artisans. She's brought that experience to her writing, as well as her work as a consultant, helping restaurants create exciting but adaptable cocktail menus or wine lists that show the evocative side of a bottle before the cork has even been popped.

Amy is the author of multiple books, including The Big Book of BourbonProsecco Made Me Do It: 60 Seriously Sparkling CocktailsForager's Cocktails: Botanical Mixology with Fresh, Natural Ingredients,  The Architecture of the Cocktail, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Bartending, and The Renaissance Guide to Wine & Food Pairing

She lives, drinks, and eats in New York City.
